We're still collecting donations

We would like to create a warm, safe space that's open in the evening and welcomes anyone who needs to escape the world for a little while

Hi!
We are Jen & Marie. We are two bakers who have a dream to create a café that's not only for us, for customers but for the community.
We both grew up baking with our parents, so you could say it's in our blood. We began baking more frequently and decided that we'd like to do it as a living and created Wooly's Bakery, our first step.
As we began baking we came about the idea of Soulsister Café, Home of Wooly's Bakery. We are both very family oriented, love the American farmhouse vibe and baking is an escape for us. The idea of Soulsister Café is that it is a home away from home. A rustic Café, filled with little tables and lamps. Soft lighting, a bookshelf in one corner with a variety of books you can grab to read whilst there. We also want to upcycle furniture for the shop, we want to use recyclable packaging and do what we can for the planet.
Example of a book corner:
Freshly ground coffee and freshly baked goods will be available in a variety of flavours for anyone who would want them. We would like to have a toddler corner, somewhere you don't feel like you can't bring your little ones. We are both mum's and know how difficult it is to find somewhere that you can chat with your friends but keep the kids entertained. Soulsister Café would be open into the evening, this opens opportunity for you to grab an evening coffee after work, or come down with your friends to get a coffee after 6pm. We even want to be able to support other small businesses by having the nights available to do small business nights ie: body shop, pamper nights, Scentsy or whatever small business you may have.
An example of the style we imagine it to be:
Soulsister Café is for everyone, we want to be dog friendly being dog owners ourselves again knowing how difficult this can be.
We will have rewards systems for our customers including our teen reward system to encourage teens to come in and hang out and have somewhere safe to chill with their friends. We will also have kids decorating evening or adults ice your own cakes etc.. we also want to have a chalk wall with best doodle or quote of the month for people to come in and let our whatever it is you want to on our wall..
Example:
For years we have thought about this, we have wanted to find somewhere that offers what we want to offer and we can't find it. So here we are asking for some help from the community to help us do this for you all.
We have both had our struggles, from mental health issues anxiety and Post Natal Depression to Jen having fibromyalgia and hypermobility issues, we know how much a comfortable cafe would help relax and support people who are also struggling.
Our bakery offers a wide variety of items from traditional old school bakes to new and exciting flavours like our famous fudge or cookie pies.
With the money we raise we would like to open Soulsister Café, and with donations we would like to be able to reward you too, as like we said it's for everyone. Old or young, alone or in a group Soulsister Café will be a place you are always welcomed to.
Another example:
We hope you can see our vision, of a family run safe haven Café. Our little corner of the world, to escape and come feel at home.
