We believe in beautiful, warm, community spaces that hold long tables and offer delicious, homemade food.
We provide hot, delicious and freshly prepared community meals while also offering some respite and support to anyone dealing with the challenges of homelessness, poverty or loneliness.
Soul Food is always more than a meal, our vision is centred around the power of a table. We hope that the ordinary setting of a dinner place becomes a space of life-changing relationship and community.

We have 11 Soul Food meals; 9 in Edinburgh, one in Livingston and another in Bristol. As well as offering a safe, warm space and a delicious, hot, freshly prepared meal, we offer community.
We serve around 500 meals a week and have see a real rise in need following the pandemic and the current cost of living crisis. We have an over 60s meal beginning is February to help with the increased isolation and loneliness in the community.
Our guests are often desperate, for some, it's the only meal they will eat that day. Many walk for miles to come along to a meal. It's a space where lives can be transformed.
“You’ve not only given me a meal and a safe space to be, you’ve also given me a place to belong.” - Martin
"The food is great, but for me, it is their promise to walk alongside anyone who would like support, a place where you know you are not on your own... I feel welcomed, respected, accepted and valued... Soul Food Edinburgh, has very simply been my life line." - Jim
"Soul Food gave me hope. From the beginning we were welcomed with open arms" - Jane

The cost of living crisis has affected us all, our Soul Food meals included. From the souring cost of food to heating our venues. We desperately need support to maintain the space we have.

The money we raise will go towards supporting our existing meals. Each year we give several payments to our meals to help support their work. Any money raised will go straight into keeping our meals running and supporting our guests.
