Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
We are humbled to share a heartfelt appeal to support the construction of a Masjid in Sunamganj, Bangladesh — a place of worship that will transform the spiritual and communal life of this small, rural community.
In this village, over 200 families live simple, humble lives, striving daily as farmers and fishermen to provide for their loved ones. Despite their struggles, their faith remains strong, and their yearning for a dedicated house of Allah is profound.
Currently, many must travel long distances to attend Jummah and daily prayers. The elderly find the journey especially difficult, yet their devotion never wavers. The community dreams of a Masjid — a space where they can pray, learn, and connect with one another in the light of Islam.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
“Whoever builds a masjid for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari)
