Aim

On October 26, I'll be lacing up my shoes for the Venice 10K in support of a cause incredibly close to my heart: the Veerni Project.

For the past 10 years, I've proudly served as board member, to this charity dedicated to empowering girls through education, health, and dignity in rural Rajasthan, India. I manage our visual media, communications, and lead fundraising efforts, but what truly fuels me are the heartwarming stories and powerful images I bring back each year from my visits.

This year's walk holds even more meaning for me as it is my comeback after a knee surgery, and I'm thrilled to say I'm back on the tarmac! I began training over the summer and will continue right up to the race day, aiming to beat last years' time and finish under 2 hours.

My goal is 10K for 1 girl's secondary education for 1 year.

With your support, we can ensure one more girl receives the education she deserves. Our 110 girls at Veerni are bright, resilient and full of potential, they just need the opportunity.

Please sponsor my effort. Every step I take is a step forward a brighter future for our girls.

With gratitude,

Sophie Mam!
