Welcome, we are a group of volunteers based in Taunton, Somerset. Our group is called Somerset Aid For Ukraine, and we have been sending medical supplies, military kit, food and other aid to the front line and to civilians in Ukraine.
We have been asked to help supply emergency response 4x4 vehicles that can travel on very rough roads to reach injured and wounded and cope with the tough conditions. The roads in Ukraine are now incredibly poor and difficult to navigate in standard vehicles.
We are raising funds to purchase several Right Hand Drive all terrain, 4x4 Pick Ups /SUVs that can reach the frontline and transport injured civilians and military personnel out of the danger zone and back to a waiting ambulance or directly to a hospital as this is the quickest way to help those in urgent need.
These donations are also used to fund the transportation of Medical Supplies urgently required from Somerset directly to the front line hospitals in Eastern Ukraine.
Our contacts on the ground in Ukraine are desperately waiting for the arrival of such vehicles.
