I am raising funds to aid the production of new artworks relating to the potential ecological consequences of light pollution. The new works will initially be exhibited at the Lumen Studios show In Search of Darkness at Grizedale Forest Project Space in September and October 2018.
That constant city glow is the bane of the astronomer is well known. So too the common lepidopteran visitations when we leave the light on in a bedroom with the windows wide for a summer breeze. In general, the physiological effects of artificial light on living organisms are perhaps less widely perceived. My work in particular aims to draw attention to the potential impact of light pollution on trees, moths and the importance of preserving dark sky areas.
In order to facilitate my work on this project and to support the continuation of my practice in general, I am running a summer print sale. All prints below are available at a silly cheap very reasonable price for a strictly limited period.
