We are raising money to build a new accessible path from the car park, across the cricket pitch, to our courts. No more muddy shoes!
Solihull Tennis Club is a friendly club here in the heart of the West Midlands. We have around 160 adult members and 70 juniors who all enjoy a range of social tennis, coaching and competitive league tennis. We have 6 courts, 3 of which are floodlit.

We actively encourage all ages and abilities within the community to come and try tennis and become a member of our thriving club. The club is a non-profit sports club run by its members who volunteer in all aspects of running it.
We need to raise the funds to be able to pay a landscaper to create us a path from the car park to our tennis courts. This needs to have solid foundations and be fit for use by wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Currently the route to the courts is muddy and wet especially in winter. Having a path will make our club accessible for all and will keep our courts cleaner and more long-lasting.

We have been offered a grant from Sport England for £7500 if we raise the same amount ourselves. So every pound that gets donated will be matched as long as we reach our target amount.
The pathway will also give the surrounding community an accessible pathway across the field to the Tippetts Lounge and social area. We hope that the pathway will be used by all members of the wider Cricket and Bowls clubs located on the site.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
