Solid Rock, Havercroft - Warm space

Aim

Our aim is to provide a warm space for the community and the projects we run which include:-a playgroup, coffee shop and charity shop.

• We have a small team of volunteers who run several projects for people of all ages. Together we aim to provide support, combat loneliness and have a listening ear for those who need us. We also provide a discreet food bank service for those in need.

Community impact

Our projects are open to all people of the community, enabling parents and children to gather together for play activities; adults and families to use the coffee shop for low cost drinks and food; adults to access a wide range of items from the charity shop. The projects have many benefits for the community including socialising, combating loneliness and helping to make finances go further. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are aiming to raise money to cover the increased cost of heating. This will enable us to continue providing a warm space for the community and help limit the need for having to choose between heating or eating.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The finances we raise will help to cover the increased heating costs for running the projects. Any extra finance raised will help towards new resources for the playgroup and help fund the food bank.
