Let's keep the magic of Solas Festival alive!
Solas Festival is a unique midsummer celebration of the arts, ideas, and wellbeing, returning on 20-22 June to the beautiful setting of Errol Park in Perthshire. For 16 years, we've created a vibrant temporary community where people from all walks of life can come together to experience diverse art forms, engage in meaningful conversations, and foster a sense of unity. Our mission is to inspire change, spark conversations, and create a space where everyone belongs. As a not-for-profit charity, Solas Festival is dedicated to fostering creativity, inclusivity, and community.
Why Solas urgently needs your support
Solas Festival, like many others in Scotland, is navigating increasing financial pressures and changes in funding. Your contribution is vital to ensure we can continue to break down barriers to participation, including providing accessibility for neurodiverse and mobility-impaired attendees, offering a stage for local talent, and addressing transport difficulties in reaching Errol Park. To ensure that the unique spirit of Solas continues to thrive for 2025 and beyond, we need your support.
More than just a festival
Solas is more than just a weekend of music; it’s where a Palestinian poet’s radical verses intertwine with the melodies of a Yiddish folk band, sparking conversations that transcend borders. It’s also a space where hands of all ages and backgrounds come together to craft a kite, a simple yet powerful symbol of hope, resistance, and shared humanity, alongside a vibrant coming together of music, art, and ideas to inspire change and create a welcoming environment where everyone, including families, truly belong.
Solas 2025: Our plans
This year's theme, 'Rest & Be Thankful' reflects our ambition to grow our unique wellbeing offer, with a renewed focus on mental health and intentionally designing spaces for neurodiverse attendees.
Music remains central to everything we do, featuring established artists such as Hamish Hawk and emerging talent. We also feature a strong spoken word strand and aim to spotlight theatre as another key art form in 2025. Solas also collaborates with faith-based organisations like the Methodist Church, and fosters engagement with faith communities and provides spaces for reflection and discussion.
We are deeply committed to accessibility and creating a welcoming environment for all at Errol Park, including offering free transport and tickets for marginalised groups.
Making a difference: how your support helps
By contributing to our crowdfunding campaign, you'll be directly helping us to:
• Safeguard the festival's future in the face of rising costs and ensure its long-term stability
• Bring world-class music and diverse artistic programming to Perthshire
• Nurture community wellbeing through workshops, yoga, and spaces for reconnection
• Amplify original voices by showcasing diverse performers and fostering inclusion
• Create bold new programmes that celebrate creativity and champion social justice
• Realise our vision for Solas 2025 as a place for healing and celebration
• Continue to provide a welcoming space for local residents.
Doubling your impact
We've already received an incredibly generous offer of £10,000. If we raise another £10,000, we'll have a total of £20,000.

"We were able to share our inclusive dance work with a new audience - performances and workshops were well received by the festival attendees. We want to continue to develop our partnership with Solas Festival for the future, both of our organisations have inclusion at the core and our values align to ensure the arts are accessible to the wider community."

"Intercultural Youth Scotland (IYS) collaborated with Solas Festival during their 2024 festival. As Scotland's leading charity for young Black People and young People of Colour (BPOC), IYS is dedicated to promoting creativity, wellness, and representation within Scottish spaces, providing opportunities that spotlight young voices and build confidence for them. Our collaboration with Solas Festival allowed us to bring elements of our mission to life within an inclusive space. The event served as a unique platform for our remarkable young people."
