We aim to provide social inclusion workshops for support workers. These workshops would foster wellbeing and connection through conversation
We are SVH Inc., acronyms for Strong Vibrant, Happy and Incorporated. We foster wellbeing and happiness at work through mental health training and workshops, speaking engagements and away day experiences. See our Website.
We are a registered Community Interest Company, limited by Guarantee (a not-for-profit social enterprise).
We are looking to raise £9900 to sponsor 90 support workers for 11 social inclusion workshops. These workshops will give them the moments of pause needed to exhale and inhale, so they can build their strength to keep doing the vital work they provide.
Who are Support Workers?
Support workers who this project cover include carers, nursing assistants, teaching assistants, mental health care assistants.
Why this is important:
Providing physical, mental, and social assistance is a demanding, time-consuming activity. It can be emotionally draining, even in less stressful circumstances. This often leads to feelings of isolation and loneliness for support workers. Also, most support workers do not get organisational support for wellbeing and mental health.
We want to continue the woodwork we started with the successful achievement of our Social Inclusion Workshops for Support Workers kickstart funding of £900. This sponsored 10 Support Workers to participate in a social inclusion wellbeing workshop in a warm and safe space to connect, discover and rejuvenate, temporarily letting go of worries and stresses brought on by work demands, and personal lives.
Every little bit helps, and we appreciate your support by pledging and sharing this page with your network. Thank you.
