My idea has been born due to my love for football, I used to play professionally for Southend United FC untill the age of 20 and went into Semi-Professional untill I gave it up at 29 due to family commitments.
My eldest child who is 8 years old has become an elite gymnast and spends most of her time at practice in her gym. A new place opened in Essex last year called jump giants which is basically a place where kids & adults can go to have fun with gymnastics.
I thought about where in England could I go and have fun with football? I can go to a number of places in Essex and the UK where there are some sort of pitch and two goals and I know of lots of good and bad coaches making money offering meadioka traing sessions but what I am talking about is where in the UK can football really be fun whilst still learning fundimental skills on the sport.
My idea is to provide an experience that kids & adults would want to come to enjoy the fun side of football.
My plan is to create a series of stations where different techneques can be used but in fun games, there would be a score kept throughout the stations, some games will be based on individual qualities and some on a team emphasis.
The end result would be to play a match in the full stadium experience, I would have a 7 a side pitch that would have a full printed look of a stadium, even the ceiling would look like you are standing on the centre circle looking out, I would also play crowd noises to give the feel of what the sound would be like playing in front of 90,000 people at Wembley.
The games I would have include a beat the keeper(like on Soccer AM), Crossbar challenge with a interactive crossbar, accuracy birsting ballons, reaction drop fead the ball into a pipe and it can drop out of 4 areas and you would need to react quick and get a shot off, skills competition, kick up challenge.
I have worked out this project would need £150,000 to set up which would include the set up of the unit and the first 2 months overheads, I would charge £10pp and would aim at getting 150 people through the door a day £1500. This would generate £10,500 per week in revenue and £42,000 per month.
I have worked out that the total business overheads per month would be £8,000.
I currently work in the graphics industry so other than the astroturf required I have a company that could supply and install the branding and graphics designed to provide a great experience.
