These will be bought and delivered to our project communities in Solukhumbu, Kavrepalanchok, Nawalparasi and Sankhuwasabha.

Nepal needs SOAP AND HOPE.


The Glacier Trust is raising emergency funds to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Nepal.

Nepal is currently in lockdown as the country fights to prevent an outbreak and spread of the deadly Coronavirus COVID-19.   

The lockdown, while 100% necessary, is having an effect on people's ability to earn money and source food. 

Coronavirus cases are on the rise and could increase exponentially over the next few weeks. 

There are therefore twin dangers for the Nepali people, the COVID-19 pandemic and widespread famine. 

Without external support there is little hope that catastrophe can be avoided. With SOAP there is HOPE.

If we act now we can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Nepal.  

The Glacier Trust has been working in Nepal since 2008. We partner with local NGOs, EcoHimal and HICODEF, to enable climate change adaptation in four communities. 

Both EcoHimal and HICODEF are working tirelessly (from home) to organise a response to prevent a Coronavirus outbreak.

We are being guided by our NGO partners in Nepal on what each community most needs. They are in contact on a daily basis with local government leaders, families and field staff to ensure any funds raised will be spent most effectively.

The Glacier Trust has already sent £2,000 to our partners in Nepal. We hope to double that through this Crowdfunder.
