Aim
Have you captured the vision to support the most vulnerable through artwork? I need your help to move from the spare room.... to the garden!
"What's in your hand?" - this was the thought that went over and over in my head as I'd gone self employed at the start of 2020. Covid hit and the world as we knew it, shut down. All I knew, in response, was to paint. I am owner of Linda Hoskins Art and founder of the Stay Seen Project where 50% of my sales were donated towards the charity Survivors Of Human Trafficking In Scotland (SOHTIS) for a year, moving then to 10% for a sustainable partnership longterm. The work has snowballed and all things art have taken over and turned into a wonderful full time job. I had moved into our spare room to work but as the business has developed it is clear that I have outgrown the space.
I was given a card early in the year that said "Increase is coming so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back!"and I knew that the time had come to do just that. That in order for this work to continue to grow and evolve the next step is to "enlarge my tent", so to speak, and move from the spare room to a more offical space (lets face it, probably hut!) in the garden.
This whole journey wouldn't have been possible without anyone buying any art work. For those who have captured my vision to weave art and social justice together and create something personal, beautiful and a talking point that goes beyond me, is humbling. And now I am asking you to come along with me for the next steps. Would you be willing to be part of the vision growing? For more art work to be created to help the most vulnerable in our society, country and beyond.
The good news is that I don't expect something for nothing!! Absolutely not! If you decide to donate then you will be rewarded with exclusive prints or an original paintings that will allow you to boast until your heart is content that YOU were a part of this change and that YOU are a unique owner of such items!
