Aim
Help us bring independent streetwear back to the high-street with a store in the heart of Letchworth.
Hi, we are Ozz and Jay of Snů Wear.
Snů, meaning “Dream” in Czech, was conceptualised by our founder Ozz back in 2018 with a vision of creating sustainable, simple, and unisex fashion that speaks to creative communities.
Our clothing is all hand designed and printed at our home in Letchworth, with our focus being eco-conscious, long lasting fabrics to steer away from "fast fashion". Our simple, unique designs reflect our love of the music, skate and surf communities. As well as our hand printed streetwear, that includes accessories such as caps, beanies and bags, Jay hand-decorates boho hats using pyrography, embroidery, and other mediums as well as hand painting bespoke skate deck wall art. We aim to stock all and more at our High-Street store, opening in Autumn 2025.
Snů has been trading online since 2018, promoting small ranges of new designs to our loyal customer base. Following this local success, we launched our real world set up at Camp Bestival 2023 which was met with welcome enthusiasm and since then we have taken Snů to various other festivals and markets across the UK, working in collaboration with other independent businesses such as BATCHFIFTYTWO in Baldock. Since moving to Letchworth Garden City in 2022, we have loved being a part of the local community and retail scene. Vutie Beets, the vegan café and coffee roastery was the first place we visited and felt at home. It seems only fitting that we would open our own premises on the very same street. We put in a bid as soon as the opportunity came up and waited with bated breath!
Finding out that we were chosen by the Heritage Foundation to take the premises was more than a dream come true for us but now we are up against the clock! We're a young family business, with three children in Letchworth, the youngest of which many of you will probably recognise from accompanying us at markets and festivals since she was born in May 2024. We'd like to get the shop fitted and open as quickly as possible so we can welcome you through the doors before the cold English weather starts.
We have worked and saved hard to make this dream a reality but we would also love the opportunity to reach out to our wonderful customers, both existing and future, to support us in bringing independent streetwear back into the High-Street. Following surrounding areas such as Hitchin, we would love to see Letchworth Garden City embrace local, grassroots fashion again and we need your help to make it happen. We are asking for an affordable donation from those who can manage – with great perks on offer such as our custom prints, and one of a kind ‘Shop-front Snů 2025’ tees and hoodies depending on your offered amount. In turn, we promise to offer an affordable range of ethical, hand designed apparel that is designed around our customers and their preferences. We hope to stock a small range of other local produce and artwork, to support other independent businesses building their dreams too. We want Snu to be a hub of community; creative, loyal and local. Lets take fashion back to grass-roots.
If you can see a place for us in Letchworth, we would love to have your support. This will help us to lay a new floor and fund the shop-fitting we have dreamt of. We are planning to do the majority of this work ourselves to save labour costs and keep the fit as affordable as possible. In line with our commitment to sustainability, much of the furniture we have acquired and are looking at is second hand and refurbished by ourselves. That said, these costs do add up and to create the most secure start for our independent business to launch on the High-Street, we would be so grateful to receive your donations.
