Whilst the pavilion itself is complete, works to achieve full building control sign off remain - we still need to widen the access pathway
Streatham & Marlborough Cricket Club (SMCC) is a community focused cricket and social club in the Dulwich / Forest Hill area of South London. The ethos of the club is to provide cricket for everyone, regardless of background or skill.

We completed construction of our new pavilion in April 2026. However, Building Control requires the access road widened for emergency vehicles before fully signing off works.
This project will deliver an expanded access road to activate the site for public use. Without this critical final link, we face significant legal / financial risks, and operational closure which would lock out an estimated 18,000 annual local users.
Securing this funding allows immediate, safe, and fully disabled-accessible entry to our facility. It directly unlocks new physical activity programmes for community groups, inactive over-65s, disability cricket hubs, and local state school outreach programmes.
All funds raised will go to fund the pathway works which are estimated at £50,000+
SMCC prides itself on being diverse, inclusive and very sociable. Almost 30% of our members are female, making us one of the most gender balanced clubs in the country. We expect to start a 3rd women's team by 2027 and double our number of girls squads and matches by 2028. Our junior section is equally diverse with 75% of members coming from state schools, and we play twice as many junior matches per player than the average club in Surrey.
Outside of cricket, we are already seeing much more frequent use of the facility from junior football, junior rugby and community events.
There are three simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay - if we reach our £15,000 target, Sport England will double it!
2. Get on the wall. This is the last chance to get your name recognised on the donor wall, which will run across the wall above the bar and will be an excellent visual representation of your support, for as long as the building stands.
