Each blend is more then a blend of delicious flavours. They are also a blend of specific health and wellness benefits.

Here are just a few key aspects of what makes up those wellness benefits...

Not your average powder blend

There are 4 specific focuses of our powders which make up the core values of Smartblend. It's not just what makes us unique, its what makes us ambitious.

The first is function. This is all about our wellness intentions. Working within bars and restaurants, I've seen wellness slip by as a non factor in food and drink. As usually, its slow to keep up with the fast evolving industry. Especially when it comes to flavour and creativity. This doesn't just mean the health benefits of having turmeric or beetroot in your diets. Its also about mental well-being and inner wellness. Something that I'm seriously passionate about standing for.

Another factor in what makes Smartblend Smartblend, is sustainability. Something that I'm determined to change within the food and drink industry. Too many products have one function, meaning sustainability is hard to achieve. My thoughts on this is by having fewer products with larger versatility intentions, and sustainability at heart. We can help this industry become eco-leaders.

This ties in accessibility. Having a product that can be used by a range of people with different values sharing one common goal - Healthy self, healthy planet.

From vegans to non-vegans, drinkers and mindful drinkers. Something that a professional bartender or chef can take and turn into something absolutely delicious and inspiring that you can easily re-create. Not by reaching difficult levels of knowledge but by having the same high quality and versatile product. 

However, non of this can be achieved if flavour is a last thought. Which is were similar products can have a tendency to ignore. Having a background in drink and menu development, flavour is something I am massively passionate about. A huge part of what inspired this product was the idea that I can use my knowledge and expertise to blend great flavours which you can use in your own creative ways. Taste is a matter of opinion. So this idea was to create a flavour that can be built on and changed in a way that suits YOUR personal taste whilst retaining the essence of Smartblend through it.

To be somewhat poetic, these are edible paints, awaiting you to create your own edible masterpiece.

Meet the team

This is going to be a quick one. First team member is myself, Cameron. The founder of this project. Other then me there is my partner, who is the part-time consulting marketeer, cameraman, key grip, spell checker, powder tester, Smartblend model and whatever else I can rope her into doing. 

Finally there is Yourself. The pledger. The person using these powders to create inspiring and delicious edible creations and essential funder in getting the project of the ground.

Why I need your help

This ambitious goal is essential to getting the first batch of Smartblend made and ready to ship. Rewards are available to thank you for your support and I understand some of you  wont be able to donate or pledge, even if you love the sound of this project you still may be unable to help with funds. In that case, just a share of this project to your friends and family could be the difference in this being a success of not.

Even if you only have 4 followers on Instagram and 2 numbers in your phone. Chances are that if you enjoy this project, they might also enjoy it. Currently we are only ready for UK destitution. If you're from outside the UK you will unfortunately not be able to purchase or redeem awards for this project, however. Considering the success, are next goal will be for worldwide distribution.
