Supporting a community of busy people to Slowly Go by providing yoga, outside exercise, breath awareness, tips, podcast on a free website.
I was exhausted, running around working 17 hours a day at times, 3 jobs and trying to maintain the illusion of balance, when I was clearly out of balance.
I have been a yoga teacher for years, and worked in a busy community centre. I didn't want to give anything up, but in the process I was burnt out.
The enforced rest due to Covid 19 meant I had no choice, I lost everything. I was furloughed, and unable to teach my yoga and Nordic Walking groups. Then came Zoom, and I could rebuild my Yoga online. Then realised I had a chance to Slowly Go, by reaching out to other people who also feel like me. Tired, unable to let go, trying to do everything but lying to ourselves. Slowly Go is a safe place for anyone to access and get free 10 min Yoga sessions or Breathing sessions. I want to talk to others about how they manage to integrate a slower pace of life alongside demands of work, running a business, trying to be healthy and of course having a good family life exercise and building friendships.
Having a one stop website with short free yoga sessions, or longer ones on offer, having instant access to calming or energising breathing exercises or joining courses to learn more. Practically dealing with stress, in a confidential, or sharing your stories and ideas is up to you. Downloading podcasts from those who have a balance of slow and fast life, tips from about slow eating, slow cooking, gardening, being outside and bathing in nature, or simply walking mindfully, and breathing in the views.
The community will help to share and support each other under one online website.
Slowly Go community will be the landing page, with free things, the offer of buying yoga, breathing courses, retreats, workshops, or 1-1 sessions will also be available for anyone wishing to upgrade.
