SKZ STAY London Song Project 2025

Aim

Any fan of Stray Kids will know how important their music has been in bringing us together, and what better way to express our love back?

Our Vision

       As a team of UK based STAYS, as soon as we saw that SKZ were coming to tour here, we felt that we had to do something to show how much they are loved and adored here. 

So, looking back on the fan-projects that have come before us, we'd like to plan something even more memorable for their UK stretch of the tour at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the 18th & 19th July 2025.

     With this, we're looking to create a song for Stray Kids from STAY to be played on one of the dates of their UK circuit, and truly show how much we appreciate the happiness they've brought to our lives. They have dedicated and written songs for STAY before, and it only felt right that now we give back in the one language that transcends barriers - Music.

     Imagine an arena of 60,000 STAY's united together with a song that we can listen to and sing to our favourite group of artists, for once, being the ones to allows them a glimpse into how much they are adored. 

Fan-projects have always been a integral lifeblood in the connection between K-pop idols and their fans, but never before has their been an attempt to create the very personal thing they provide for us, and we'd like to be the first to start.

Who Are We?:

      We're a UK-based team of STAYs with backgrounds in art, animation and video-editing as well as project managing for creative endeavours. However, we are always looking for help with community organization if you feel you have any relevant skills to help out our team.

Expenses:

     Currently, we're receiving quotes from songwriters as to what they charge to write a more complex song that's tailored to the Stray Kids vibe whilst also including their vocal memes, musical styles and our own ideas from STAY and trying to pin it down currently, knowing that there will be a lot of back and forth between the lyricists, our team and songwriter, we have place an estimate as to what each part may cost with room to spare. 

To reiterate, these are estimates and will be a little over expected just in case we come across any surprise costs during production. Your donations will directly fund:

Instrumental/Melody Production:

£500 - This first target allows us to pay for a song demo, with guide vocals and a rough outline of the melody and samples.

£1200 - This is the overall cost of the song and allows us to pay for a fully professionally produced instrumental with mixed vocals included, as well as unlimited revisions to target our vision better.

Ghost-written Rap/Lyrics/Vocal-Mixing:

£300 - Although we will be writing most of the lyrics ourselves, guidance from a professional lyricist will help streamline our project. These funds will also allow for us to mix in vocals directly from STAY ourselves. Once the main musical production is ready, we'll hold auditions for the vocals used on each verse!

Professional Video Editing:

£800 - We'd love to be able to co-ordinate enough STAY to edit a MAP of the music video, however given the time crunch we're under, we can't risk all the moving pieces coming apart! So, instead, we've gone for hiring someone with professional credentials to try and streamline the process! This £400 will directly fund the music/lyric video for both the song and the fan messages!

Extra VFX/Wiggle Costs: 

£200 - As with every event/project that is as ambitious as ours, there is always possibility for hiccups to occur in the process, especially on our tight deadline, so we've allowed some extra money in our budget to cover any accidental costs that may be needed along the way, such as rush fees and last minute alterations. We are working with small time artists after all and we respect their time as much as we respect you all!

Remaining Funds: 

Any remaining funds, if we go over our minimum funding, will be discussed via our community as to whether we invest more in the project for additional art or pick a charity to donate the surplus to. However, in both cases, we will work closely with our donors to asses where they would like the money to go!

The Song:

     Considering Stray Kids are such trailblazers in the music industry with their very distinct 'ttang' to their music, and with such a unique and ever-changing style, it seems hard to pinpoint what exactly to go for to represent both STAY and SKZ in one song.

However, to create something that the members would enjoy as well as something to praise and include each of the 8 of them, it would only make sense to make a follow-up to their own self-introduction song 'FAM', something that I'm sure helped a lot of STAYS to get to know our boys.

Each verse will reflect praise for each of the members, including memes and favourite moments, as well as their verse reflecting the musical stylings of each of the 'HOP' solos. We want to pack as many moments as we can into the short space of time we're allowed, and will try and get LiveNation involved to help make the experience more immersive. 

As we would get to the final stages of song production, we would hope to release parts of the song or if not all of the song to be able to create interactive moments such as fan chants and a chorus to which all 60,000 of us could join in. 

How you make the difference:

    Any and every donation gets us closer to our goal of created an everlasting moment between STAY and Stray Kids. Even after the fan-project ends and the moment on stage comes to a triumphant fizzle, the song will remain for any and all international STAY to view online and share in what we have created.

As first-time organizers of such an amazingly far-reaching project, we encourage any form of participation from you! If we don't reach our goal, all money will be returned!

This song is meant to be true representation of STAY, and so we'll be voting on what to include in the song and tailor it to us as participators. Though, we need even the smallest donations to get to the point where we can create the vision we can build together.
