Providing digital art workshops to community group

Aim

Raising funds to offer local community groups the chance to learn and create digital art using Procreate application on IPads

I am a freelance illustrator/designer and started Sketch Club Falmouth drop-in sessions, 10 years ago, for local adults to meet twice a week, in public venues, in order to practise drawing and socialise for an hour. Little did I know how much it meant to isolated individuals and particularly older generations to have the chance to gather on a regular basis, be part of a group and express their creativity.

Sketch Club has offered many opportunities over the years by providing several group exhibitions, supporting pensioners or people out of work to enable them to flourish in their creative journey and to further their learning and education in art... In the past couple of months, I have facilitated a new opportunity for the participants to learn how to work and complete each drawing brief on Procreate digital application. It has generated a considerable amount of interest for a generation often edged out of modern technology. People are delighted with the prospect of being able to discover, relate and develop their knowledge and I enjoy being able to support them in confronting their common lack of confidence in IT.

Some have discovered the benefits of creating smooth lines on a surface, as their hands are often shaking when drawing on paper.

Therefore, more and more people are now willing to use the application... But unfortunately, I am limited to using my own personal device and trying to share it with a large number of people is proving difficult. A few participants don't own or can't afford digital equipment, so I would like to obtain at least 2 iPads and stylus pens. I am also happy to receive secondhand iPad donations in good working order, too. Please feel free to contact me on the website page.
