This project is raising funds for permanent premises for Aberdeen's only fully size inclusive womenswear shop.
The business started out as V+Style back in Oct 2020 as a size 16+ clothing shop. Since then the business has grown rapidly and has rebranded to Style for your Shape and is now a fully size inclusive womenswear shop, stocking sizes 8-28.
Victoria started the business after feeling frustrated at rarely being able to purchase items on the high street to suit her curvy figure. She wanted to create a safe place where women could shop without being defined by a size. Instead she wanted women to focus on what is important - the fit and feeling confident in their own skin!
We're different because 70% of our stock is targeted towards size 16+ and 30% at size 8-16. So we've taken the norm of the high street and flipped it to cater for our curvy ladies!
After having run the business via pop-up shops and retailing online, it's now time for us to move into our own permanent premises in Aberdeen's City Centre and open the first fully size inclusive womenswear shop. We currently have space within an indoor market at Curated Aberdeen in the Bon Accord centre, but now we are looking to have our own shop front outside the centre to reach more customers, to have more flexible opening hours and to allow us to have personal shopping evenings.
The funds raised will go towards paying for the refurbishment of the shop based on Schoolhill Aberdeen, purchasing new equipment and technology for the shop and the initial setup fees that go along with opening premises. If we raise money beyond our target this will go towards designing our own collection and starting our own manufacturing.
