Sisters at Law supports survivors of domestic and institutional violence in Sri Lanka by providing safe shelters, legal aid and advocacy

by Sisters at Law, Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka

Founded by Marini de Livera, a human rights lawyer, this charity exists to provide a refuge for women and girls and empower them to achieve their goals through education.

A group of  6 teenage girls institutionalised  for most of their lives is arriving at the  refuge in Colombo in 2 weeks. Funding is urgently needed to provide food, warmth and education to empower them to realise their potential by equipping them with skills and confidence to enter the world of work. In this safe environment they will start their journey to economic independence.
