Aim: To support production costs for 4 days of filming of a 30-minute Dark Fantasy Thriller.
The core of the story is the relationship between the two sisters. At the beginning it's a very intimate view of the close, supportive bond they share. To reflect this the opening of the film has a very spacious feel, giving the visuals room to breathe through wider framing, lighter tones and colour palette.
(1,2,3) "The Dig" (2021) Dir. Simon Stone, (4) "When Darkness Falls" (2022) Dir. Nathan Shepka.
As the film progresses and things take a darker turn, framing of the visuals becomes more constrictive and suffocating, with a greater use of a much deeper and murkier colour palette.
(1) "It Follows" (2014) Dir. David Robert Mitchell, (2) "Twilight Zone The Movie" (1983) Dir. John Landis, (3) "Star Wars IX - The Rise of Skywalker" (2019) Dir. J.J. Abrams.
The juxtaposition of something small and personal set against something vast and universal, is an important theme within the film. To me it reflects the way our own lives are impacted by external forces. This contrast is represented through the open farmland and ancient woodland locations. These keep the sibling relationship front and centre in the story, while symbolising the vastness of the mythological forces they face.

We've already secured our locations for filming. They bring strong visual character, scale and a cinematic aesthetic to the production.
Through our filmmaking we've developed our skills, built an impressive team of collaborators and gained a reputation as a positive, reliable and highly creative production team. We now feel that the time is right to increase the scope and range of our storytelling. 'Sisters - A Tale from a Glass Darkly' is the film to do this.
The strength of the script and the scope of the story has already attracted award-winning talent to the project. To deliver the film to a quality that both the story and audience deserve requires a larger scale production and a longer filming schedule than any of our previous films. This naturally means higher production costs and whilst we've managed to secure some private investment, a crowd campaign is also necessary to help support the production finances.
At a time when so much of what we see around us is fuelled by division, we've created this campaign because in addition to helping make the film a reality, we also want this project to be an opportunity to bring people together and help us give this film a heart.
The funds raised, in conjunction with some private investment, will be used to support 4 days of filming.
This includes insurance costs, equipment hire, paying cast & crew and providing accommodation and food.
A HUGE "Thank you"! We're offering a variety of rewards as a way of showing our appreciation for your support. These include digital copies of the film, onscreen credits, an exciting opportunity to appear in the film itself and even the chance to join us at the GALA Screening with cast and crew.
Importantly, you will have helped make this film happen and in doing so brought people together to create a very special, fresh and exciting experience for audiences. It's our belief that together we can bring something positive with this film and if you join us we can make it happen.
Every film comes with risks and challenges. However, the team brings with them over 50 years of experience in risk management and business administration, along with almost 20 years of film production management. We therefore feel confident that we have the skills to mitigate the risks and overcome challenges the production may face.
We’ve already delivered a total of 23 films ranging from short films, promo videos and feature length/multi-camera live recordings. These were delivered to clients on time, on budget and have received acclaim from global festivals and audiences alike.

We really appreciate you taking the time to be here and we hope you'll support the film. By doing so you'll not only help to make "Sisters - A Tale from a Glass Darkly" a reality, but will also help us bring people together.
If you can’t contribute financially that’s ok, you can also make a huge difference simply by sharing the campaign with friends, family and across social networks.
Every share, post or shout out is vital and helps us create a bigger crowd, a bigger voice and brings us closer to making the film a reality.
Thank you for your support.
