Aim

Kindness costs nothing, but running an organisation isn't free. We need to raise running costs as well as have funds aside for emergencies.

  • 1789037107_1000066590.jpgSimple Acts of Kindness began with an idea - simply, one wonderful woman decided she could help someone. Anyone. Whether she knew them or not. She could be kind "just because".

As time has passed, Simple Acts of Kindness has become something so many people call upon when they are in crisis - fleeing domestic violence, suddenly in financial difficulty, leaving the care system or moving out of homelessness into a property.

The amount of people that we support is immeasurable

From all walks of life. All backgrounds. Working, unemployed, families or single- it doesn't matter. If you need help- if you need kindness - we are here

This year alone we have supported a number of families with school uniform, a Back to School campaign collecting essential stationery and personal hygiene items, provided white goods, beds and bedding, raised funds to gift supermarket vouchers or buy food parcels for those in need, supported with welfare guidance and support to ensure people are receiving the benefits they're entitled to as well as any discounts from utility providers that they may be entitled to, collected and delivered donated items and furniture all over the Midlands, had loads of tea and talks at our Cuppa & Connect mornings hosted by K Teas, collaborated with local radio shows, community run festivals , advocated for carers and people with disabilities and worked with local venues to promote their drop in sessions for much needed company, chat and compassion.

We have created affordable ways for low income households to get what they need for their home, their new baby or to take the next step in their life with a little more ease. We have provided Mother's Day gifts for women in hostels who may not otherwise receive them, gifted Easter Eggs and Christmas gifts and are always looking for the next way to make life a little brighter.

Wolverhampton is a brilliant city. It's home. It's also an area with high levels of poverty and deprivation - Wolverhampton is within the top 10% of the most deprived areas within the whole of the UK.

We want to bridge that gap in any way we can.

If people have the essentials and maybe something to look forward to, they stand a chance at living rather than just existing

We provide a safe space for people to ask for help and receive support in a judgement-free zone.

We have a warehouse filled with household items and clothes that we gift to those in need or sell for low-cost.

We care.

We really do.

If you can help us in any way, please do.

Every penny we receive goes to enriching the lives of those most at need.

Thank you for being on this journey of kindness with us.

Leanne & her volunteers at Simple Acts of Kindness really appreciate you 💜
