Building Silvia Tango Studio

My name is Silvia Bivolaru, and I am an Argentine Tango teacher based in London.

For years, I have dedicated my life to sharing Argentine Tango. I have taught in hired studios, community halls and rented venues across the city, carrying equipment from place to place, adapting to different spaces and working tirelessly to create meaningful learning experiences for my students.

Like many independent artists and small business owners, I started with a vision, a lot of determination and very little certainty. Every class taught, every event organised and every student who trusted me with their learning has helped shape the journey that has brought me here today.

Now, for the first time, I have the opportunity to create a permanent home for my work.

Silvia Tango Studio will be a dedicated space for learning, practice, creativity and connection. A place where dancers can feel welcome, inspired and supported. A place where students can develop their skills, build confidence and discover the joy of Argentine Tango in an environment designed specifically for that purpose.

As a female entrepreneur building an independent business, this project represents much more than opening a studio. It represents years of hard work, resilience and belief in a dream that often felt far away. It is the result of countless hours of teaching, planning, saving and taking risks in pursuit of something meaningful.

My vision is to create a beautiful and welcoming space that serves not only as a dance studio, but as a home for a community. Alongside private lessons and coaching, the studio will include a carefully curated tango boutique, a comfortable meeting space and a professional environment where dancers can learn, grow and connect.

The funds raised through this campaign will help transform the space from an empty room into a fully functioning studio. Contributions will go towards:

* Studio mirrors and dance space setup

* Storage and display furniture for tango shoes and clothing

* Seating and guest facilities

* Office and teaching equipment

* Boutique displays and changing area

* Cleaning equipment and studio maintenance

* The many small details that turn a room into a welcoming home
