About the project

Katie Hopkins is a sad product of social media and internet 'celebrity' culture.  She is an attention-seeking and tragi-comic figure.  She is also a parent, with children.  Many people would wish that she spent more time with her family.  My crowdfunding project proposal is that normal citizens in the UK could contribute sufficient funds to give to Katie Hopkins so that she would happily remain totally silent for one calendar year. That would mean: no Hopkins' columns in the 'Sun' or other written media; no Hopkins' 'journalism' in internet media; no Katie Hopkins' Twitter account; and no LBC moonlighting.  No name-changes or game-playing manipulations of the clear intent of this crowd-funding proposal. Just total internet/social media silence for one year, to help the UK.  That is all we ask.  If 100,000 people gave just £1, or if 20,000 people gave only £5, or if 10,000 people gave £10, then the crowd-funding target of £100,000 would be reached. All potential contributors to this crowdfunding project must understand that Katie Hopkins has not yet been consulted on this proposal and she has not yet agreed that a 'salary' of £100,000 for one year would be enough for her to accept a vow of total silence in the written media, internet media, radio media and social media.  We live in hope.
