Signed Sale Sharks Rugby Ball
Colwyn Bay, Conwy Principal Area, United Kingdom
Aim
We are running this prize draw to raise funds for an end of season (2024/25) tour to participate in a rugby tournament in France.
The Prize
On offer is a Gilbert size 5 rugby ball signed by members of the Sale Sharks squad.
Wills Austin (pictured below), former Colwyn Bay rugby player and now a part of the Sales Shark forward pack has very kindly and personally gone around the squad, collecting autographs for us.
The Cause
Funds raised from this prize draw will be used towards the Colwyn Bay U16's end of season tour. These tours are extremely beneficial for the boys, it allows them to form bonds beyond the rugby pitch and showcase their skills outside of their normal league.
This is the final year of "junior rugby" for the boys and the last year they will be altogether as this team. Some of the boys will go on to play "Youth" where they will mix with older players and one of our team members cannot move up with them, as he already plays up a year and is prohibited by WRU rules to play up at youth level.
The majority of the team have been playing together since they were 6 years old. We would very much like to give them a good send off from junior rugby by giving them an everlasting memorable trip on an international end of season rugby tour.
Should the team not raise enough funds throughout the upcoming season to fund the tour and tournament in France, then depending on total funds raised they could be used towards a tour and tournament closer to home or towards various team building exercises.
