Project aim

Our aim is to increase our advertising capabilities, reaching more customers and developing a thriving small business.

About the project

Shyla-Rose Bowtique was born in January 2014 following the birth of my daughter. After two boys I became over indulgent in all things girly and she amassed a wardrobe bursting with beautiful clothes. Shyla-Rose was born with a mass of hair but I struggled to find any reassonably priced accessories on the high street that were as "wow" as her collection of gorgeous clothes, so I set about designing her some myself.

From there I unexpectedly ended up with a small but wonderful business, designing and creating beautiful accessories for girls of all ages. From the new born photo shoots, to the first day at school, prom and even wedding days I have been blessed to play a small part in all of those fairy tale moments worldwide.

I create a variety of products, from simple hair bows and clips to tiaras and flower crowns, but my speciality is in the 3000 year old Japanese art of Kanzashi. Every petal is individually handcraft from the highest quality fabrics and arranged to form stunning creations.

I currently work from home, accompanied by miss Shyla-Rose herself, and the majority of my sales are via my website and social media platforms. However these time constraints mean I am limited to how many people I can reach and how many orders I can take on whilst working around family life. Very soon madam is off to Nursery and this is the ideal opportunity to push the business forward. Extending my advertising into magazines and short video commercials would help to increase revenue and help me move out to pop up shops and eventually a permanent high street store.

Your pledges will be used to create a short video commercial which can be used on my website, social media and other similar opportunities for engaging new customers. As always I would seek to support other local talent in doing so, approaching and collabortaing with local film studies students and graduates, and using local models. If I am fortunate enough to be over funded I will also look to secure advertisements in magazines.

Thank you for taking the time to read about the Bowtique!
