Greetings, wonderful supporters! We are Ash and Joey, the passionate brains and hearts behind Dungarees and Squeegees, and we can barely contain our excitement as we share a monumental chapter in our creative journey. Picture this – an open access screen printing haven in the heart of Shrewsbury, a destination where art thrives and creativity flourishes. From the inception of Dungarees and Squeegees, we dreamed of a space that transcends boundaries, uniting artists of all levels.
The stars aligned when we laid eyes on a new studio space, beckoning us to turn our dream into reality. What followed was weeks of contemplation, exploring the possibilities of connecting our current space with the adjacent one, and crunching numbers that left us both inspired and a tad bit anxious. The decision, after much deliberation, was crystal clear – we had to take the plunge, have faith, and make this dream come true! And so, a flurry of transformative work has been set in motion as you read this.
Why are you opening a new studio, you may ask? Because our belief in what we do has never been stronger. For the past 3 years, Dungarees and Squeegees has been more than a business; it's been a place where creatives can make their visions a reality and slowly we have built a community of like minded folk where creativity flows. In a world where the High Street grapples with challenges, we want to prove that small businesses like ours are indispensable to society.
This brings us to the heart of the matter – we're launching a fundraising campaign for this ambitious project. Our goal is to raise £3000, a pivotal sum that will contribute to the costs of new equipment such as a large workshop bench, table top screenprint benches, screens, inks and much more!
