Aim

Our aim is to train as many lifesavers as possible who are involved in junior and semi professional football as possible throughout the UK.

We are a small medical team based in Staffordshire, we are involved in the medical provision within Kidsgrove Athletic semi professional football club in the Northern Premier League (West) based in North Staffordshire, but provide first aid training to businesses and social groups along with providing medical cover for a variety of events across the UK. 

We have a team of dedicated individuals who hold a wide variety of qualifications within the medical sphere. We also have a dedicated team of tutors who are greatly experienced in delivering First Aid and Medical courses to a wide and diverse audience. Their passion and dedication for the subject is amazing and we are so proud and lucky to have them onboard with us.

The scheme is free to all attendees!

The schemes aim is to get as many people trained in lifesaving skills (who attend football at all levels) as possible. We have aimed it at goalkeepers and their coaches due to the fact they are able to see the whole pitch for the whole of the game and if anyone does collapse can react to alert the referee who may be focusing on the ball etc. However, the sessions are open to everyone who is involved in a club whether a player, manager or coach, club volunteer or parent/guardian/family member of a player. Basically open to all. The sessions are also open ALL teams associated with a club or stand alone teams at all levels.

We have seen on numerous occasions that a player has been taken unwell, collapsed or even died while playing the sport we all love. The more people able to react and help in this situation the better and the outcome for the player involved will be a far better one also.

The sessions are 3 hours in duration where participants will cover Incident Management, Primary Survey, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Recovery Position, AED use and Choking.

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance, their clubs will receive a membership certificate to say they are part of the scheme and will receive regular updates when applicable.

Our Vision

The vision is to roll out the scheme all over the UK, we aim to target clubs within each county of the country, county by county. Continually revisiting counties as guidelines change and as teams change their teams etc.

We are in the process of introducing this to clubs with very positive feedback.

Attendance to the workshop is FREE to all to take away the obstacle of affordability.

How would we use any funding?

Any funds given will be put towards tutor fees and any travelling expenses. 

We would also use it to secure venues for the courses (if unable to secure the venues for no charge).

Promotional materials and stationary (where applicable).

Finally for any merchandise to purchase to be able to resell to put any profits made from articles back into the scheme.
