Shiva Yoga & Pilates Studio

Aim

My goal is to provide a high quality yoga and pilates studio.

ABOUT THE STUDIO:

My vision is to create a relaxed, comfortable and inclusive environment for people to meet & practice; to create a welcoming and calming community space, focused around fitness. I will be offering regular classes, continued professional development workshops and both yoga & massage training.

This will attract a wide and diverse target audience; yoga teacher trainings will encourage students from overseas to travel to Cornwall for intensive teachings.  The fact that I will be using a national booking system for our regular public classes, will encourage holiday makers from all over UK to visit us as no other studio or cafe in Cornwall uses this software.

ABOUT ME:

I am a highly qualified yoga teacher and trainer, and have completed over 1,000 hours training.  During the past 3 years, I worked as lead trainer on the advanced yoga teacher trainer programme for the largest yoga school in South Goa, India (Kranti Yoga). A requirement of this role was to further the education of all Kranti Yoga School teachers by running monthly Continued Professional Development courses.

I am also an experienced Pilates teacher, having trained in New Zealand, where I progressed from instructor to studio manager.  This role provided me with a wealth of knowledge regarding leadership skills, setting and achieving membership sales targets, creating promotional and marketing materials and learning the back of house protocols for a range of online booking systems.

I previously worked as Spa Operations manager for the highly regarded and luxurious Scarlet Hotel & Spa, where I was fortunate enough to attend the ‘CIAG; Complaint is a Gift’ training.  This has been very beneficial when working face-to-face with the public enabling me to deal with challenging situations and provide excellent customer service skills.

With an Honours degree in Illustration & Marketing, I am passionate for driving Shiva Studio forward with my skills in Adobe Suite, Wordpress website building, and designing marketing strategies with a strong focus on social media.

ABOUT THE CROWDFUNDING SUPPORT:

I believe this unique concept will be an asset to Nansledan and I would love to be a part of the growing community. The money raised will be immensely beneficial in funding the initial set up of the project with regards to high quality mats and props. I'm hopeful the platform will generate enough funding to also  contribute to an opening event and allow me to work with a photographer to create some great website and social media content.
