Ships & Castles

We never expected to meet our original funding target in the first week, let alone the first day! So impressed have our friends at Power to Change been by the depth and breadth of community support for Pendennis Leisure's vision of Ships & Castles as a community business that they have DOUBLED their initial £5k contribution to our fund and have now donated £10,000 TEN THOUSAND POUNDS to the people of Falmouth. They did so because, for a few amazing hours, Ships & Castles was the fastest campaign on the whole Crowdfunder platform! Thankyou Power to Change, Thankyou Crowdfunder, Thankyou Falmouth Packet, Thankyou everybody who has spread the word and/or splashed some precious cash!!

We have been overwhelmed by the positivity and support we've received from the people and businesses of Falmouth, Penryn and surrounding areas... and from people all over the country who have sweet memories and a place in their hearts for Ships & Castles.

Now we've proved how much people care, and how much you are willing to help, our chances of success in the negotiations with Cornwall Council and Falmouth Town Council have increased, and our plans to move forward are becoming clearer.  We couldn't be doing this without you.  Next week we will be posting more of an update - please watch this space and our Facebook page and keep the comments coming!!
