Aim
To help reduce food waste within the local community of Shepton Mallet.
We are a volunteer based community group on a mission to create a fridge, freezer and larder that will be accessible to all.
The UK wastes around 9.5 million tonnes of food every year. We think there is a solution and we want to be a part of it.
We have secured a pitch at Haskins retail centre but now need to raise funds for a fridge, freezer, larder, purpose built shed, cleaning products, insurance and branding items. We will eventually need commercial quality fridge and freezer as they will be in constant use. These cost more than domestic appliances. Firstly we need a custom built shed to hold the fridge, freezer and larder.
If anyone would like to invest in this wonderful project, we would thoroughly appreciate it. Afew pounds will go a long way.
