SheHeThey will be the worlds first online marketplace for Queer, Minority, Ally, Body Positive, Gender Neutral & Ethical Brands


Hi, we are Michael & Luke, Co-Founders of SheHeThey, and we’ve set out on a journey to make entrepreneurship and consumerism more inclusive.

What is SheHeThey?

Arriving in 2022, SheHeThey will be the World’s first marketplace that celebrates equality through its sellers, their products and shared values.

Expressions of Interest are officially open for businesses of all sizes who would like to sell on the platform. To sell with SheHeThey, sellers match themselves against 1 or more of the following criteria:

  • Sell gender-neutral or body-positive products
  • Sell ethical and traceable products
  • Have lived experience in a minority group 
  • Can demonstrate allyship
  • Campaign for change 
  • Sell eco-friendly products
  • Sell products specifically for a minority group
  • Sell products that include positive messaging
  • Sell products that improves quality of life
  • Share a percentage of profits with good causes

Seller Experience

Sellers will be able to add, edit and remove products, have a dedicated seller page and be able to pause their store when needed. Sellers will also be featured across SheHeThey social media channels, blogs and news features, further elevating their profile. SheHeThey will take a flat rate fee of 10% per transaction, supporting running and growth costs, as well as our charitable pledge and salaries.

Buyer Experience

Buyers will be able to search by seller, product or category, leave reviews and save favorite sellers and items. Shopping with SheHeThey will also create a cycle of positive consumerism, supporting minority owned and ally businesses, local communities and the planet.

We have moved from concept to development stage, actively engaging with potential sellers, partners and consumers

  • We have connected with over 1,000 businesses
  • Ongoing development of our social footprint, primarily via Instagram
  • Received expressions of interest from a range of businesses
  • Connected with multiple ‘partners’ who would like to collaborate once launched
  • Invited to exhibit at events and speak about the social impact of SheHeThey 
  • Onboarded a Payment Gateway organisation who will plant a tree with every transaction
  • Onboarded volunteers, kindly giving their time to support our venture

We are a start-up with no prior investment and currently self-funded via our own income and savings. We have every ambition to scale the business across the UK, Europe and international markets and early indications suggest a strong appetite for our platform. 

Funding will support:

  • SheHeThey marketing & advertising, targeting minority owned businesses 
  • Product and business development to ensure scalability
  • People resource to support the day to day running of SheHeThey

Such support will ensure that we reach as many businesses as possible to maximise our reach and engagement amongst minority communities. As a thank you, we will welcome the opportunity to collaborate and feature your own venture, story or anything else you’d like to say across our platform. 

Our plans for the future

Although we currently have limited resource and time, we are dedicated and passionate about SheHeThey and the people that the platform will support. Not only do we expect SheHeThey to grow, but we will measure our impact socially and environmentally and use this as leverage to challenge other brands to do better.

SheHeThey will launch in 2022, at which point scalability is all dependent on the resources and funds at our disposal. Once the platform enters the mainstream, we expect to be fully self-sufficient, based on buyer traffic and transactions, sponsorship and paid ads.

The SheHeThey motto is ‘It begins with you because whether it’s the buyer, the seller, the investor, the partner, the ally or the casual visitor, SheHeThey begins with the people who we represent, the people who embrace equality, and the people like you.
