Sheffield Sea Cadets is based in the heart of Sheffield, providing education, training, and adventurous activities to children and young people aged 10-18 from across the city.
Whilst we are affiliated with the Royal Navy as part of the wider Sea Cadet movement, we receive no direct funding from the MOD and rely upon charitable donations to operate.
We provide a wide range of activities including on the water activities (powerboating, sailing, rowing, windsurfing, and paddle sports), and shore based subjects such as engineering, catering, navigation, and other outdoor activities.
We operate from our unit on Rutland Road, which comprises of a former care home, that we have been working hard over a number of years to renovate into a modern training venue complete with accommodation to benefit not only our cadets but others from across South Yorkshire and beyond.
