Aim

A creative café where women can showcase their creative talents. A place for women to encourage and inspire each other.

My vision is a creative café where woman can showcase their talents, a place for women to inspire each other.

The café will be ran by a team of amazing ladies with a background in both the arts and hospitality. We will sell coffees, cakes, sandwiches and more and will be a comfy, cosy space, with books, cushions, blankets and everything else to make people feel at home.

Although we want to focus the limelight on women, absolutely everyone will be welcome. We will host special events showcasing female art exhibitions, print fairs and open mic nights. Beyond this it will function as a workshop space for creatives to collaborate, exhibit and sell their work.

I'm an illustrator and maker, and empowered woman. After finishing my illustration degree in 2014 I've spent years illustrating and creating in my spare time, whilst working full-time in bars, restaurants and coffee shops.

Shecan has always been a little dream of mine, I want to make this a creative hub where women can get together to collaborate, encourage each other and feel safe sharing their ideas. A place that gives female creatives a space to empower other women, learn new skills and sell their work. With experience both as an illustrator and in the hospitality industry I know I can pair my skills to create an amazing place.

The money will enable me make this idea a reality, with a little funding I will be one step closer to finding the perfect premises, purchasing my first bulk of stock and holding the first few empowering events.





Q. Is this a female only cafe?

No! Everyone and anyone will be welcome. We will simply use the space as a platform to bring female creatives into the limelight.

Q. Will you have vegan options in the cafe? 

We will have lots of vegan options, we will sell a variety of food and drink and cater for everyone!

Q. What countries can you ship rewards to?

We can ship the rewards worldwide.

Q. Can I pledge for more than one reward?

As each price goes up with each pledge tier, you will also receive all the previous rewards. So if you want more than one reward, simply pledge for the higher priced one to receive all the previous rewards too.
