My book is about overcoming the challenges of visual impairment. I want to record the audiobook for visually impaired readers.

My story

I have been visually impaired since birth.  As a child, the people around me focussed on what I couldn't do.  I was told that I would never gain qualifications or be employable.  Now that I have been running my successful Will Writing business for 11 years, I have finally made myself unemployable.  My husband is blind and we have a fully sighted son.

The Book

I published my first book "She Will Never...  Achieving my Vision with a Visual Impairment" in print and Kindle formats in October 2022.  It is an honest, funny and moving account of my transformation from "the only disabled child in the playground" to a successful business owner, keynote speaker and mum.

Supporting Sight Loss Charities

A percentage of sale proceeds to to support two sight loss charities - Nystagmus Network and My Sight Nottinghamshire.

It is very important to me that my book is released as an audiobook - as many visually impaired people cannot read print books - me included.

The Project is ready to go!

I have found a local recording studio where I could record the audiobook myself - which is really exciting - but I know I won't make the cost back so I am looking for funding of £5,000.
