Aim

Shatter Resistant is a brand-new play by Isabelle Blanche having its Edinburgh Fringe debut in August 2026.

Shatter Resistant is a darkly comic one-woman show exploring the frustrations of modern life.  Thirty-year-old Cassie is having a tough time lately. She’s just lost her job to an AI chatbot and her life is imploding from every angle. Cassie is forced on an odyssey of self-discovery and begins to question why she puts up with crappy jobs, terrible dates and psycho flatmates. Why can’t she say no? Knock after knock, the cracks begin to show. For Cassie, the blind faith that everything will work out if she tries hard enough is taking its toll and maybe she can't wait any longer for the life she wants. It is time for her to quit manifesting and embrace the bloody chaos.

Shatter Resistant explores themes of resilience, toxic positivity and hustle culture in the fight for a ‘nice life’.

The Shatter Resistant team is made up of writer/ performer Isabelle Blanche and director Douglas Yannaghas.
