Sharing the theatre & art love for Strike A Light

Aim
I'm raising money for Strike A Light, to enable 3,000 children living in deprivation in Gloucester to attend a theatre show for free.
What are you doing?
As a Strike A Light staff member we have all been challenged to raise £250 each to kickstart our campaign. The full fundraising campaign is to raise enough money to enable 3,000 children to attend the theatre for free and this is my bit of it.
I am combining my love of linocut printing and non-sappy inspirational quotes to raise my contribution.
I absolutely believe in the power of theatre to change the world. Most of us who work in the arts or love theatre had our first experience as a child and you can often remember the show and sometimes even the moment that blew your tiny mind.
Why are you doing it?
The children we're working with are at schools which have permanent food banks and regular police and social services visits to update the teachers on the endless challenges these kids are facing. In that context, a trip to the theatre might seem like the least practical thing the children need but I think the opportunity to go somewhere new and exciting, see something completely magical and have an amazing time where you forget everything else is vital. Some of the kids who are coming to see a show in a couple of months time are already so excited about it and talk about it all the time as something they're looking forward to.
How does it work?
The nice thing about this campaign is that it's really simple. If you donate £10, a child in Gloucester will get to come and see a show. If you donate £100 then 10 different kids will all have an amazing day because of you. It's not like the 'buy a goat' type fundraising campaigns where your money may be used for something else. We work specifically with schools and groups in areas of deprivation in Gloucester which are in the top 20% of social deprivation based on national scales.

What about rewards?
I have made two different linocuts, which is a way of making prints by carving a reverse image into a sheet of lino or rubber and then using it to print with. There are two different ones; 'Kiss My Arts' and 'Be The Change'. The second one comes from the phrase 'be the change you want to see in the world'. There are three different colour options for each- black and white, pink/ yellow ombre or blue/ green ombre.
The top reward is a personalised linocut so I will create a print like these but with your choice of words. See rewards for details.
You can put them on your wall, send them to someone in the post or give them as a gift to someone you think is ace.
They are postcard sized prints but will be on larger sheets of paper so you can put them in a bigger frame etc if you want. They are made with printing ink which gives vibrant colours and doesn't fade and printed onto nice quality cartridge paper by my own fair hand.
Each print will have tiny variations which makes it unique.
