Sewing for Success is a campaign by Collette Costello aimed at empowering girls and women by giving them the skills to achieve success.
Our Crowdfunder is raising money to fund 50 free course places over 3 months for females in need. Please support us now!
We aim to empower female carers by opening up opportunities to build skills and a support network through the 'Sewing for Success' program.
By offering sewing sessions, which help females to build:
- Confidence
- Community connections
- Career opportunities
How can learning to sew help?
Learning the skill of sewing has many benefits for females carers, which include:
- Saving money
- Gaining employment
- Starting own business
- Building a support network
- Improving wellbeing
Who does it help?
The Sewing for Success program is open to anyone who wants to become empowered through sewing, yet we aim to give all women a chance to join.
Many female carers face barriers to education, employment, or personal development. This Crowdfunder will help us to reach groups of women including:
- Career returners/transitioner
- Young and single mothers
- Carers and their families
- Females facing social isolation
- NEET's (Not in education, employment, or training)
