Sessay CC are looking to fundraise £30K towards new practice facilities for our members. The current nets are at the end of their lifespan.
Sessay CC is based in rural North Yorkshire, north of York and is a thriving cricket club. It has over 200 playing members with strong senior, junior and female sections. It is a hub site for cricket in the Hambleton area of North Yorkshire.
With such a large membership, our practice facilities have been well used, but now need modernising and replacing. They have had over a decade of use and been damaged by flooding in the past few years.
Sessay CC plan to purchase a 2 lane artificial net facility from Total Play Limited. Whilst building the new net facility, we also plan to improve the drainage in that area of the ground to minimise any future flooding damage.
This permanent practice facility will allow 1-1 work, adaptive practice and small group work. It will be a massive advantage to all our current members in allowing high quality practice.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
