Aim

To help children with additional needs thrive through accessible sensory integration, movement and play in a supportive community space.

The Need

Across Essex, many children with additional needs are struggling to access the right support.

Long waiting lists, high private costs and limited specialist provision mean families are often left without help when they need it most. Without the right support, children can struggle with regulation, behaviour, learning and participation in everyday life.

About Me

I am a paediatric occupational therapist specialising in sensory integration and neurodevelopment.

Through my work, I see first-hand the difference the right support can make—but I also see the gap. Too many children who need support are unable to access it.

Sensoryflex has been created to change that.

The Space We Have Secured

We have secured a dedicated community space where Sensoryflex will be based.

This will become a specialist environment designed to support children and young people through movement, sensory integration and play.

The Reality Right Now

The space is currently empty and needs to be transformed into a safe, therapeutic environment.

This is where your support makes a real difference.

The Vision

Sensoryflex is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company building a specialist therapy space for children and young people who may be:

  • Autistic
  • Have ADHD
  • Have sensory processing differences
  • Have learning disabilities
  • Have mental health difficulties
  • Struggling to access education

Our aim is to create a space that is:

  • Accessible
  • Community-focused
  • Supportive for families
  • Not driven by profit

What Your Support Will Fund

Your donation will directly help us to:

  • Install safe padded flooring
  • Purchase sensory integration equipment (swings, crash mats, therapy tools)
  • Create a welcoming, regulation-friendly environment
  • Begin offering sessions to children and families

Community Impact

As a not-for-profit organisation:

  • All funds are reinvested into the service
  • We aim to subsidise support for families who cannot afford it
  • We will grow provision based on community need

Our goal is to make specialist support more accessible to those who need it most.

A Leap of Faith

This project is starting from the ground up, with no external funding.

We have taken the first step by securing the space—now we need your help to bring it to life.
