We will create a sensory garden and wellbeing hub for residents in Swale to enjoy and support young people with sensory needs
WHAT WE ARE DOING
We want to bring our community together to get involved in nature and improve their mental health and wellbeing whilst enhancing the natural world locally.
We are raising funding to design and create a sensory garden that enhances the local natural world and engages families and young people from the community to come and enjoy outside nature whilst also providing a valuable resource for people with additional needs like autism to stimulate their senses with sympathetic planting.
WHO WE ARE
Youth Resilience UK are working with the Elmley Dray school to enhance the provision of local services for families and young people with additional needs like Autism and ADHD so they can help manage the mental health and wellbeing.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
We will be running events over the coming six weeks to raise as much awareness and funding as possible to help build this new nature garden and if we gain enough funds we will also add a wellbeing hub so they resources can be used no matter the weather.
We will be running an Open Day on 20th May at Elmley Dray school with information and stall holders with local crafts.
We will also be at the Queenborough Market on 10th June and the Minster Abbey Fayre on 17th June with a Lucky Dip for children and Tombola for adults
We will also be running a prize draw and anyone buying tickets enter the prize draw with a top gift of Two tickets on the Eurostar for Paris and these can be purchased as a Reward on the right hand side of this page.
We want to raise at least £7500 to make this project a reality but any additional funds will be used to provide support services for the young people in the local community that need additional help for the mental wellbeing.
Save Our Wild Isles Community Fund has provided £5,500 of match funding
