Running the Brighton Marathon on 10th April 22

We have been incredibly fortunate over the years to be supported in our SEN journey with Reuben by SDSSNSG. From swimming lessons and monthly drop ins, to speech and language sessions and Christmas parties, you name it, SDSSNSG are there, supporting families like ours. A few years ago I joined the board of Trustees and it’s been my privilege to help in some way to continue their vital work with SEN families.

Now that Reuben is a little older his needs have changed along with his friends of a similar age at the SEN drop ins. They need somewhere to have fun, make friends and continue in their independence journeys. Going to your average youth club is not usually an option for our amazing SEN kids but I’ve never believed that Reuben should miss out on anything just because it doesn’t yet exist! So! We’ve found a great venue and come up with a plan and now we need to raise the money to fund it. The whole year including venue and set up costs comes to approximately £2000.

I’d love to be able to contribute at £500 or maybe even more through my Brighton Marathon fundraiser toward this new project and life changing charity for the work they do. Running a marathon has been a lifelong dream but to be able to raise money for such a brilliant cause makes it even more worth it.

Any money you are able to contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated by local SEN families and of course Reuben!
