We're raising money to film a mini-documentary series that amplifies the female marine scientists working to protect the British coastline.
The Project
We invite you to join us in funding a groundbreaking mini-documentary series that spotlights the remarkable female marine scientists protecting the British coastline. This series will capture their captivating stories, cutting-edge research, and unwavering dedication. With your generous contribution, we'll inspire the next generation of women and girls, irrespective of race, background, or gender, to explore the wonders of marine science.
Through amplifying marginalized voices, challenging stereotypes, and increasing visibility of female role models, we'll ensure all women have an equal seat at the table. Your support will empower us to showcase the crucial work, give female-led research the recognition it deserves, and foster a brighter future for marine science. Together, we can make waves of change.
About Women in Ocean Science
Introducing Women in Ocean Science (WOS), a non-profit C.I.C organization committed to breaking gender barriers and elevating female voices in marine science and conservation. Since 2018, we've worked tirelessly to close the gender gap through education, celebration, and empowerment.
Our approach extends beyond scientific research and conservation efforts - we believe that fostering inclusivity and providing equal opportunities are essential for creating meaningful change. By amplifying the visibility of diverse female role models in marine science, we aim to foster a profound connection between different communities and the ocean. When individuals see themselves reflected in these role models, it ignites a sense of possibility and belonging, encouraging them to explore and engage with marine conservation.
This mini-documentary series serves as a powerful tool to engage diverse communities across the UK in marine conservation issues. Through screenings, discussions, and educational initiatives, we hope to create opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and active participation within the community. Together, we can build a stronger, more engaged community that values and champions the preservation of our precious marine ecosystems.
