We are raising funds to purchase a mini bus, to enable SEEDS Cornwall to meet and speak with more women who have experienced domestic abuse

SEEDS Cornwall is a group of female survivors of Domestic Abuse . We have all experienced the 'Domestic Abuse system' one way or another. Which has a lot of flaws.
We are the Voice of the survivor, our input can help  improve services by identifying the problems and working with agencies from the police and magistrates to the Council and social services.

We also raise awareness. By going out into the community. We talk to a wide range of people, some in need of help which we can give via information and signposting them. There are very few people who have NOT in one way or another been affected by Domestic Abuse.

Our challenge

What we are raising money for? Cornwall is the most beautiful county with beautiful beaches and stunning country side. However there are villages and towns that have little or no public transport. With a minibus we will be able to access the towns/villages to offer tea, someone to listen and point you in the right direction.

We have and will always be an all female group, our priority are women, children and young adults. But that doesn't mean that we do not recognize that Domestic Abuse effects men - we have useful information and treat all victims with dignity and respect.

As volunteers we rely on the goodwill of friends and family and good old public transport to be able to get around to events around the county. Having a minibus would enable our group to increase our campaigining - giving more survivors the opportunity to share their stories and have their voices heard.
