Save Penniwells Riding for Disabled Centre

Aim

This is an urgent plea to raise funds to help save Penniwells Riding Centre for disabled so it can continue to change lives for the better.

Save Penniwells Stables!  **UPDATED: 05/06/26**

We have chosen to extend our project today to give you more time to become involved and find out about us and our cause. 

Massive Thankyou to everyone who has donated so far - Please keep sharing to help us reach our target. 

We have received many offline donations coming straight to the centre and in total so far have raised in the region £70,000.

Many people have been running fundraising events, with the latest being a Bingo Night at The Beehive Pub, raising £800.00 - Thank you 😊 

BA Better World Community

BA Better World Community are now match funding new donations pledged up to a maximum of £250.00 per donation. Thank you to the BA Better World Community for making this happen.

With your help Penniwells can continue to create an inclusive, safe place for disabled children & adults, a much needed service in the local community.

More than 300 families will lose access to life changing therapeutic activities both on and off the horse if we cant raise the funds needed. For many it is the only exercise and social interaction they may take part in each week. 

Who are we:
Penniwells is a small independent charity with purpose built facilities running a full time disabled riding centre providing much-needed therapy and happiness.

What we do:
The Penniwells team transforms lives through the power of horses on a daily basis. Providing confidence, independence, and joy to every rider and volunteer who comes through the gates. Riders often begin riding for pure therapy where they require a leader and 2 side walkers. Many learn to walk, trot and canter and go on to compete in RDA and Para Dressage with two riders having gone on to win medals at Paralympic level.

Off the horse time is just as important as the riding itself - Many will chat to the animals before talking to other people

We need your help:
The centre costs over £20,000 per month just in running costs. This winter alone we have seen huge increases in the cost of hay doubling, bedding and feed, all essentials to keep the ponies fit and healthy. Bad weather has played a huge part in our current crisis along with staff costs increasing with the rise in the minimum wage.
