About Neuk Collective
Neuk Collective was set up in 2020 to champion, advocate, and be a home for neurodivergent (ND) artists in Scotland. Since then we have grown from 4 to 104 members, and in the last year we have provided support to more than 150 ND disabled artists through peer meetups, workshops, and 1:1 consultations. But we need your help to make sure we can meet the growing needs of ND artists long into the future, and continue building a more inclusive arts sector in Scotland.
Why We Need Your Support
The arts are entering difficult times, and it’s important we prepare for that uncertainty. Your support is crucial in helping us build a financial cushion that will:
- Provide Stability: Ensuring we can cover unexpected costs without risking the entire operation.
- Enable Ambition: Allowing us to plan and execute more ambitious projects without fear of financial collapse.
- Expand Our Work: Readying us to take on our first paid staff member, enabling us to expand our reach.
How Your Donation Helps
Your donation will directly contribute to the stability and growth of Neuk Collective, enabling us to:
- Advocate for Neurodivergent Artists: Promoting their work and ensuring their voices are heard in the art sector.
- Foster Neurodivergent Leadership: Neuk is led by neurodivergent artists and promotes neurodivergent leadership in the arts
- Provide Peer Support: Offering monthly meetups, professional development, and creative workshops.
- Offer 1:1 Support: Providing access consultations and personalised support for neurodivergent artists.
- Create Opportunities: Facilitating exhibitions and other creative projects that showcase the talents of our artists.
Our Vision
With your help, we can ensure that Neuk Collective can provide neurodivergent artists with the resources, opportunities, and community they need to succeed. Your generosity will not only help us maintain operational stability but also build a foundation for long-term sustainability and growth.
Join us in empowering neurodivergent artists. Your contribution, no matter how small, will have a lasting impact on our community.
The financial management nuts and bolts - we set up our parent CIC (Community Interest Company - a kind of non-profit organisation) to run Neuk Collective and raise funds for our work. Door in the Wall will administer funds raised through the crowdfunder.
