The Second Renaissance Magazine, for transformative art and ideas - to birth a new future.
The Second Renaissance Magazine is a cultural beacon for a new era of art — a vessel of vision, beauty, and becoming. Each issue, shaped by the Art of the Second Renaissance Manifesto, gathers artists, writers, philosophers, and performers whose voices awaken transformation and healing in an age of meaning crisis.
Our dream is to create not just a magazine, but an experience — a doorway into another world. When you open its pages, we want you to feel the pulse of a living renaissance, to sense the renewal of art as a sacred force.
We've made a first prototype issue on Impermanence and now we want to make it a yearly publication. To bring this vision fully, we need support to make it sustainable, not only the printing of the magazine, but the creators who give it soul. Too often, extraordinary artists remain unseen, unpaid, or underpaid. Together, we can change this. Your contribution directly nurtures the artists, curators, and visionaries weaving this movement into being — a new renaissance for our time.
Why This Matters
Art is not decoration, it is alchemy. The Second Renaissance calls artists back into the roles of oracle, magician, priestess, and healer. Our magazine gathers visual art, poetry, ideas and essays into intimate, poetic, and transformative experiences that invite new meaning into our lives.
Each pledge does more than put ink on paper; it invests in artists, sustains cultural change, and strengthens a collective voice for the Second Renaissance.
Match Funding: Double Your Impact
We are thrilled to share that two private funders are match funding this campaign.
Every pledge is doubled up to £200 and to a maximum of £6000 in total.
- Give £25 → Becomes £50.
- Give £50 → Becomes £100.
- Every pound counts twice.
Our Goal
We are raising £17,500 to fund the next two issues of the magazine and seed a sustainable subscription base. This gives us two years to grow into self-sufficiency.

- Editing, Curation & Art Direction: £3,200

- Artists & Writers: £6000
- Proofing: £700
- Printing & Mailing: £2,800
- Distribution: £2000
- Admin & Contingency: £600
Beyond production costs, this budget represents fair compensation for artists, writers and curators dedicating their time, vision, and skill to the movement.

What Happens Next
Issues will be available via the Second Renaissance website, Lulu, and select bookstores.
Each launch will be accompanied by an online event, bringing together contributors and supporters.
This campaign is a first step toward residencies, retreats, and a living archive of Second Renaissance art and ideas.
