We aim to produce a quality second album at the reputable Momentum Studios and need some support to raise the funds to make it possible.

On the 8th April 2022 we'd raised £3,467 with 82 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We are so excited to create and share our second album with you! It's a varied, multi-genre collection of music, with some tracks feeling more 'mainstream' with catchy, emotive vocal lines; accompanied by dub and reggae awesomeness. Other tracks draw from traditional Eastern-European and Turkish sounds which were not captured in the debut album; however they form a huge part of our overall style and live performance. You can also expect to hear a touch of upbeat, 'wacky' ska, progressive, avant-garde soundscapes and our first journey into the musical styles of Latin America.
We've developed so much as a band since 2017. You may have noticed during recent live shows that we have introduced more instruments, pedals and effects into our set up! We cannot wait to capture some of this into the album and to share it all with you.
The Cabarats formed in 2016 and the debut album was ready by the end of 2017 after the amazing support from all our new fans. Since then, we've been on a whirlwind ride, performing at grassroots venues all around the UK, circulating on the festival scene, embarking in mini tours to Croatia and France and we also gained a slot on one of the main stages at Boomtown Fair!
During these five years, we have had the pleasure of supporting renowned acts such as Dubioza Kollectiv, Tankus the Henge, The Undercover Hippy, and Cut Capers. We gained the attention of BBC Introducing, performing on their stage at Looe Saves the Day. More recently, we were blown away by Jozines review naming us their highlight of Maui Waui festival 2021.

Quotes:
''The Cabarats were probably the highlight of my festival. The vibe that they brought to that tent in the early Sunday evening was palpable. Every single person in that tent was a super-fan by the end of the show. Think eastern European folk, Balkan ska, punk-dub with accordions, ouds, bass and drums flying around all over the place.’’ - Joyzine, Review of Maui Waui Festival 2021
(Maui Waui, 2021)
“If you want a band that’ll have you tapping your toes, bobbing your head and bouncing along then it’s The Cabarats you need. With a seamless mix of reggae folk and Balkan ska their lively, unique sound is definitely smile inducing. These talented musicians know how to put on a show and enrapture their audience.” - Rosie, Executive Producer: BBC Radio Cornwall.

We created our debut album 4 YEARS AGO! Like everyone else, we appeared to have lost two years to Covid19! In 2019, after the amazing response from the album and live shows, we had planned to take the next step and start planing for the second album.
We were in the early stages of planning the album creation. The new songs were ready, the tour was organised and in place (intended to help raise some funds for the album) and the production planning was to come next..
Unfortunately, due to C19, our spring tour 2020 was cancelled and it was not feasible to do the tour the following year either. The business made a loss financially last year and unfortunately we were not eligible for any financial support. All album and tour plans needed to go on hold for a while.
The good news is, the tour is being re-organised for 2022 and we have booked in at Momentum Studios to create our album in late Spring! We were so lucky to have created our debut album on such a tight budget, due to some of our band members dabbling in music production and artwork.
However, almost five years have passed since the debut album and we feel we have developed so much as a band and want to ensure this album is created to the highest quality which is why we have chosen to work with Momentum Studios. We owe it to our fans, you've been waiting long enough!
The challenge is of course, raising the funds to make this happen. We need to raise £7500 to ensure our album meets the highest standards to support us to progress to the next step in our career.
We aim to match fund our Crowdfunder project by one third (£2500), through tour show payment, merch sales and busking our hearts out on the streets.
We therefore, need to raise an additional £5000 via the support of our fans and the wider community to ensure we can make it happen!
By supporting this campaign, you will be able to pre-order the new album, purchase our existing merch and invest in some more exciting perks such as a live show in your living room! You can also buy a unique Cabarats themed artwork print designed by our multi-talented band member, Jake!
We need to raise a total of £7500 to make our album project possible. With this budget, we can ensure that all aspects of our work are captured at the highest quality which will support us to move to the next exciting step in our career.
