Join us for an exclusive 4 course menu to kick off the first of our series of Seasonal Surplus Suppers, at Starfish & Coffee. Three exciting Brighton chefs are coming together to support FareShare Sussex & Surrey in their mission to tackle food waste and food insecurity by showcasing their donated produce.
More about the chefs:
Laura is head honcho of L&M supper club - a seasonal, sustainably focused, and minimal waste supper club based here in Brighton. During her recent internship at Silo in London, she has picked up a few tricks and tips about zero waste cooking that she can’t wait to share.
Viki has been working between Brighton and London in highly acclaimed Michelin awarded restaurants with a firm focus on farming and sourcing produce. Her ideas about sustainable hospitality bloomed whilst working under Chantelle Nicholson at her Michelin Green Star restaurant Apricity.
Amaryllis runs a local vegetable led supper club, Colores, which fuses European flavours. Community driven, she can be found volunteering at FareShare Sussex & Surrey, Brighton Community Kitchen, and Goodgym.
With the promise of conscious cooking and community led, joyful dining - bring an open mind, friends, and an appetite! All proceeds from the event will directly support FareShare Sussex & Surrey, helping us to redistribute surplus food to those in need across the 3 counties.
Event Details:
Who we are
FareShare Sussex & Surrey collects surplus food from businesses, farms, and manufacturers, stopping good-to-eat produce from going to waste. With a dedicated team of 170 volunteers, we are able to distribute food to more than 144 charities and community groups across the 3 counties.
Why your support matters
Many people in our community face the tough reality of food insecurity, even as perfectly good food is thrown away every day. By supporting FareShare Sussex & Surrey, you help us address this imbalance by transforming surplus food into vital support for those who need it.
Your contribution helps us reach more individuals, serve more meals, and reduce waste. Our work is more than feeding people; it’s about bringing hope, dignity, and the possibility of a better future.
